ON SUMMER GETAWAYS.
things I've learned/concluded from the Puerto Galera experience.

1.) getaways are for enjoyment's sake. do not leave for a vacation if you don't want/need to.
2.) you can't really enjoy something when you're too preoccupied with something else.
3.) do not watch sunsets if it would only make you want to watch it with a particular someone who's not with you at that moment.
4.) there would always be some activities to distract you from missing someone. in my case, it was snorkeling, speed boat-ing and parasailing.
5.) vacations need not be too long. 1-2 days would be enough, 3 would be too much (given that there are no shopping venues and/or sights to see. just the sand, water, boats, etc).
