A SONNET FOR THE SEMI-BELOVED.

Like the Little Prince's, you are my rose
The one who makes my planet beautiful.
But know that I don't let feelings expose
For I intend myself to be careful.
I refuse in spelling things out for you,
So please take note of how much you're favored.
You will not see me stick to you like glue
nor show that moments with you are savored.
Hence, I'll do nothing but write you sonnets
Although not as good as William Shakespeare.
And maybe even play with strings and frets,
Creating rhapsodies you'll never hear.

Lack of affections doesn't justify.
Believe that this is not a stupid lie.
