She could stay at home to take a rest and risk not seeing her. Or she could go to school, pass her by the corridor or see her from a distance, have a shitty time and maybe/hopefully/possibly, take a risk and say hi (or at least smile, for that matter) or else forever lose her chances and end up frustrated with herself.
