ON DENIAL.

Denial is the psychological process by which human beings protect themselves from things which threaten them by blocking knowledge of those things from their awareness. It is a defense which distorts reality; it keeps us from feeling the pain and uncomfortable truth about things we do not want to face. If we cannot feel or see the consequences of our actions, then everything is fine and we can continue to live without making any changes.

FORMS OF DENIAL:
1. Simple Denial
example: "Kat likes (put random name)" "Weh, hindi kaya"
2. Minimizing
example: "Si Kat gagastos ng P1000 para sa kanya" "Hindi ah! P800 lang."
3. Rationalizing
example: "Wala akong magawa, kaya magdamag akong online."
4. Intellectualizing
example: "Eh hindi naman talaga kayang mabuhay ang tao nang walang love eh"
5. Blaming
example: "Siya nauna eh, di syempre gagantihan ko."
6. Diversion
example: "No, hindi ko siya hinahanap. Kain tayo."
7. Bargaining
example: "Magiging straight na ako pagkagraduate."
8. Passivity
example: "Wala na akong choice, di ko rin naman 'to mapipigilan"
9. Hostility
example: "Wag na nga natin pag-usapan! Nakakahiyang balikan."

CONCLUSION: Oftentimes, Kat is in a state of denial. :)
