AND THAT'S JUST STUPID.

Never, ever, ever, ever talk about your past with your present then tell him/her "I love you" after. It is somewhat awkward especially if you were previously talking about how irritating it is for you that people still think you're not over that said past whoever.

Although it's not wrong to convince your present that it's he/she you love -- not your past whoever, it's still somewhat not right. It's against the principle of I do not want to spell things out for you. You have to read between the lines.

Oh well, what do I know anyway?
